Le epic double meaning of the reservations line: dinner reservations / having reservations about someone...

usually lobsters are kept alive & boiled right before being served. i found this freaky as a kid. the line "i dont mean to freak you out" is manipulative bc you're forcing the subject to accept something unsettling.

It's about the uneasiness of a relationship you have no control over. I was also imagining an artist having a fancy lobster dinner with their label, & being set up for failure, w the falsified cover story and all, & realizing the corruption of fame
